The SIU Office of Economic and Regional Development hosted a business after-hours exhibit and reception on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Dunn-Richmond Economic Development Center from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, in conjunction with SIU’s Da Vinci Days celebration of innovation and creativity in sciences, humanities and arts. SIU has been a leader in research, discovery and innovation, resulting in nearly 100 patents from faculty and staff since 1960. One of the patents came from Mr. Martin Hebel, Associate Professor of Electronic Systems Technologies and Information Systems Technologies. Mr. Hebel had a U.S. patent awarded on September in 2016:

Both Dr. Brad Colwell, SIU Interim Chancellor, and Dr. Randy Dunn, SIU President met Mr. Hebel and congratulated him on his excellence and dedication.
