Scholarships

Students can search the SIU Scholarships and CASA Scholoarship website to find more scholarships available to all SIU students.

Make sure to check out our two scholarship search engines. College and departmental scholarship opportunities will be available on our General Scholarship Application and Database beginning on November 1. For this database, you will be automatically considered based on your completed General Application. To complete the General Application, please sign in first.  Club, organization and outside scholarship opportunities will be available on our scholarships. Deadlines for many Spring 2015 scholarships are in February and March!

Boeing ISAT Scholarship

Award Value: Up to $3,700 (depending on fund availability).

Awarded between two (2) individuals.

Selection Criteria:
   • Sophomore or higher or have at least one year at SIU
   • Are a U.S. citizen
   • GPA of 3.2 or greater
   • Have demonstrated interest in information security
   • Must provide a one-page essay describing career goals and need

Application Requirements: Completion of the ISAT General Scholarship Application Form and a one-page essay describing career goals and need.

Camelle W. Logan and Sonia Veronica Phelix Scholarship

Sponsored By: Camelle Wilson Logan

Award Value: Up to $1,000 (depending on fund availability)

Selection Criteria: The Camelle Wilson Logan and Sonia Veronica Phelix Scholarship is open to all applicants who meet the following criteria, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age or veteran status.

Applicant must be a student in good standing and enrolled in either the Technical Resource Management or Information Systems Technologies programs.

Selection criteria will be based on the student's entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to the advancement of technology, financial need, and overstatement of how this scholarship would help them to meet their career goals.

Application Deadline: TBA

Application Requirements: Completion of ISAT General Scholarship Application Form and an essay of no more than 500 words (2 pages) describing: your entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to the advancement of technology, career goals and need. (Note: This replaces the one page essay requested at the bottom of the ISAT general application form).

TRM Academic Scholarship

Selection Criteria: Technical Resource Management major in good standing including academic achievement, clear statement of career goals, and financial need.

TRM Tuition Waiver

Sponsored By: School of Information Systems and Applied Technologies

Award Value: Up to $1,100 (depending on fund availability) 

Selection Criteria: Technical Resource Management major, financial need, full-time enrollment and scholastic aptitude.

College of Applied Sciences and Arts Academic Scholarship

Sponsored by: College of Applied Sciences and Arts for the TRM Program

Award Value: $500

Selection Criteria: Applicants must meet the following requirements:
   • Must be enrolled in TRM and in good standing
   • Preference will be given to women and minorities

Application Requirements: Completion of CASA/EST Academic Scholarship Application Form

Additional Application Requirements
   • Two (2) professionally typewritten Letters of Recommendation (non-relative or
      friends) from individuals which focus on the applicant’s commitment to a technical
      profession, character, academic potential and capability, and financial need.
   • A one (1) page professionally typewritten letter from the Applicant focusing on
      their commitment to a technical profession, character, academic potential and
      capability, and their financial need.
